National VA History Center – Bldg. 116

This ongoing project delivers a full modernization of Building 116 at the Dayton VA Medical Center to prepare it for future use as the National VA History Center. The effort focuses on replacing and upgrading essential infrastructure systems—including HVAC, electrical, fire protection, and structural elements—to ensure long-term durability and accommodate the specialized environmental controls needed to protect and preserve historic VA archives. Once complete, the facility will serve as a major national-level archival center, supporting the preservation of artifacts and records that document the history and legacy of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
